Damodarkunda is a glacier lake located in the restricted upper mustang between Kagbeni and Muktinath at the foot of Damodar Himal. Damodarkuna is situated in the north of Annapurna range, 4890 above from the sea level. Damodarkunda is considered as the holiest lake among the Hindu pilgrimage, Hindu people believe that once they take a bath in this lake their past sins will wash away and they will get ultimate salvation. In full moon of August month Hindu pilgrimage gathers to take a bath in Damodarkunda so this is the best time to visit this place. Damodarkunda lake premises is not only famous from the religious perspective, it is also famous for mountain scenery. From this lake Damodar Himal to the north and Annapurna Himalayan range to the south can be seen clearly.
