Wildlife Reserve

The wildlife reserve is home for rare and exotic birds and is also home to last surviving population of wild buffalo (Arna). Koshi Tappu wildlife reserve camp was established solely for the purpose of serving to the needs of birds watchers, interested all over the world. Several species of birds like black necked stork, buntings, bulbuls, storks, egrets and herons, swamp partridge and Bengal Florian etc. can be seen here. The best time for bird watching in Koshi Tappu wildlife Camp is between November and February. There is one deluxe safari camp, although you need not worry there is an area where you could camp yourself and helpful staffs are happy to help you there.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu valley and transfer to hotel

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley

Day 03: Full day bird watching in Phulchowki and Godavari

Day 04: Full day bird watching in Shivapuri National Park

Day 05: Full day bird watching in Nagarjun

Day 06: 30 minutes flight or 4hrs drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan

Day 06: Full day bird watching in Chitwan National Park

Day 07: 8 hrs drive from Chitwan National Park to Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve

Day 08: Full day bird watching in Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve

Day 09: Flight back from Biratnagar to Kathmandu

Day 10: Leisure time in Kathmandu

Day 11: Back to homeward
