Mt. Kailash - Mansarovar Lake Trek

Mt. Kailash (6714 m) - one of the popular mountain peak of Tibet, which is also known by the name of Tise, Kailash or Kang Rinpoche (Jewel of the Snows) has since time immemorial been celebrated in many eastern cosmologies as Mt. Meru, the axis-mundi. Mt. Meru (Kailash) is sacred to the Hindus, the Buddhists, the Jains, & the Bonpos, taken as the center of the physical & metaphysical universe. For the Hindus, the mountain represents the seat of Shiva. For the Buddhists terrestrial projection of the cosmic mandala of Dyani Buddhas & Bodhisattvas…..the Wheel of Life.

For the devout pilgrim a visit to Mt. Kailash & Lake Manasarovar forms the ultimate realization of their spiritual pursuit. And for the adventure-lovers it offers rugged beauty, remoteness and solitude. The May tour to Kailash during the annual gives the opportunity to face Buddhist festival of Saga Dawa while most of the other trips are planned to arrive at Mt. Kailash during the full moon period to give all participants a rare experience. A journey can truly called as `once-in-a-lifetime.'

The tour offers rigorous overland driving, trekking and camping, passing the remote and wild western Tibet, in altitudes between 2,745m/9,000ft and 4,880m / 16,000ft and hiking to a maximum of 5600m / 18,400ft.

Day to Day Itinerary

ay 01:  Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
Day 02: City tour including Pashupatinath temple (Puja Ceremony in the morning), Boudhanath, Swayambhunath & Kathmandu Durbar Square

Day 03: Drive to Sankhu and hike upto Nagarkot ( 2200m) , see the himalayan range including Langtang and more.

( During the day 1 to 3, we prepare your Tibet travel document  like Chinese Visa and Tibet travel permit).

Day 04: Drive from Kathmandu to Nepal/China Friendship Bridge and drive to Nyalam (3750m) 125KM From Kathmadu 5 Hours 
Day 05 Acclimatization day at Nyalam. Overnight at same Guesthouse,
Day 06 Drive to Saga (4450m) via Lalung La Pass (5050m) 250km in 8 hours overnight Guesthouse or tented camp,
Day 07 Drive to Paryang (4610m) 250Km about & 7 hours and overnight Guesthouse or tented camp,
Day 08 Drive to Manasarovar (4560m) 280KM, 8 hours and overnight at tented camp or Guesthouse near Chiu Gompa
Day 09 In the morning take a holy bath in Manasarovar; Puja ceremony, Manosarovar Lake Parikrama by jeep and proceed to Darchen (4570m). Overnight at Guesthouse or tented camp

Day 10 Trek to Derapuk (5000m). Overnight at tented camp,
Day 11 Trek over Dolma La Pass (5600m.) and trek down to Zudulpuk (4800m). Overnight at tented camp
Day 12 Trek to near Darchen, and drive to Manasarovar ( Horchu Side). Overnight at tented camp,
Day 13 Drive to Paryang. Overnight at Guesthouse or tented camp,
Day 14 Drive to Saga. Overnight at Guesthouse or tented camp,
Day 15 Drive to Nyalam. Overnight at Guesthouse,
Day 16 Drive to Friendship Bridge and Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel,
Day 17 After having breakfast transfer to Airport for your onward journey. Farewell!!
