Kathmandu –Lhasa- EBC round trip (Fly and overland)

You can experience spectacular views of the Himalayas, High Mountain passes, ancient forts and cultural diversity of these hidden and magical lands by an overland trip. Hotels and foods en-route will often be substantially more basic. So, it is still a pioneering adventure and travelers should be physically fit and healthy for this trip because of the long drive through the hillside and high altitude that it involves. There are two different items on this itinerary, one is just the usual Tibet (Lhasa tour) and the other one is the most adventurer one passing through Lhasa and taking you through the Everest Base Camp via the North side (Kathmandu –Lhasa – EBC round trip) before returning back to Kathmandu.

Day 01 : Kathmandu (1,300 m) - Lhasa (3,650 m)

Day 02 : In Lhasa visit Potala Palace.

Day 03 : Lhasa, visit Drepung Monastery.

Day 04 : Lhasa - Gyantse (3,950 m) 26km

Day 05 : Gyantse - Xigatse (3,900 m) 90 km:

Day 06 : Xigatse - New Tingri (4,100 m) 270 km

Day 07 : New Tingri - Ronbuk (4,980 m) Aprox. 120 km:

Day 08 : Explore Everest BC/Rongbuk (5,150 m) 8 km:

Day 09 : Rongbuk - Nyalam (3,700 m):

Day 10 : Nyalam / Zhangmu – Kathmandu vernight at hotel
