Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Trek Type: Lodge Trek
Duration: 11-14 Days
Max. Elevation: 4130m at Base camp
Trek Rating: Moderate to Moderately

Annapurna Base camp

This spectacular high cirque is surrounded by some of the loftiest peaks in the Annapurna Range including Annapurna I, the first 8000m peak to be climbed. The approach trek passes through scenic, deep valleys, lush rhododendron forests, over high ridges and ascends the narrow gorge of the tumbling Modi Khola. The trail above Chomrong can be rough and sometimes challenging but the rewards that await in the sanctuary are worth every bit of effort you spend. We recommend that you take at least 12 days for this trek. It’s too beautiful to rush! It is possible to add this trek to the Annapurna Circuit and make a 26-27 days trip. For those wanting shorter treks, many options exist to visit only part of this fascinating area.
