The Annapurna Himal is a vast massif of several peaks above 7,000 m, part of the range forms a natural am phi-theater known as the Annapurna sanctuary. Ringed by such giants Annapurna Himal, including Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Fang, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Ganagapurna and Annapurna III. We trek through rhododendron and bamboo forests, as we climb towards the famous Fishtail Mountain Base Camp. From the Annapurna Base Camp we use the same route till Chomrong downstream the Modi Khola before making a worthy detour to Ghandrung, a beautiful and large Gurung village.

Day 1: Meet at Kathmandu Airport:
We will meet you at the Kathmandu Tribhuvan International
Airport and transfer you to your hotel. When you have had time to settle
in and freshen up after your long flight, you will be invited to visit
our office for a briefing about your program. During this visit we will
help you check your equipment and facilitate the processing of other
necessary items such as National Park Permits etc.
Day 02: A full days sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley:
After breakfast our guide will accompany you on tour of
sightseeing around the Kathmandu valley. You will visit the Hindu temple
complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage site) & the
biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. You will also visit Swyambhunath,
also known as the Monkey Temple, a 2000 year old temple, and visit Patan
City, famous for its fine arts and historical architecture. On return
to your hotel you will have time to explore the local area, have dinner
and perhaps take a leisurely stroll through the famous Durbar Square ,
overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Flight or drive to Pokhara:
After breakfast we will drive you to the Domestic Airport to
take a 25 minute flight to Pokhara. During the short flight to Pokhara
you will have majestic views of the glorious Manaslu peaks and the
snow-capped Annapurna mountain range, as well as the Langtang Himalayan
range. Our Staff will meet you at Pokhara Airport and take you to your
hotel. It is also possible to take a tourist coach Pokhara via the
scenic Prthivi Highway. The duration of the trip by bus is between six
or seven hours to Pokhara. A boating trip on Phewa Lake will follow,
where you can enjoy the spectacular views of Annapurna Himalayan Range
reflected in all its glory in the calm green waters of the lake and
visits the temple which is only accessible by boat, overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Pokhara Trekking to Tikhe Dhunga (1540m):
Drive by car to Nayapul via the large village of Lumle, about a 1
hour and 30 minute drive. You will start your walk from Nayapul,
walking through a large and prosperous town, Birethanti. The trekking
trail today follows bamboo forests, passes waterfalls with plunge pools
which invite you to swim. You can have lunch at the small village of
Sudame. After lunch the trail climbs steadily up to Hile, and after a
short walk you will arrive at Tikhe Dhunga, overnight at guest house.
Day 05: Tikhe Dhunga trekking to Ghorepani (2775m):
From Tikhe Dhunga the trail ascends to Ulleri village up a stone
staircase. Ulleri is a large Magar villages situated at 2070m. From
Ulleri the trail gently climbs through pasture and cultivated fields. As
you climb up you walk beside the cascading river through refreshingly
cool oak and rhododendron forests. We will have a lunch at Nangethanti.
The trail again ascends this time to Ghorepani, today’s final
destination. Ghorepani provides majestic views of Dhaulagiri I (8167m),
Tukuche Peak, Nilgiri (6940m), Annapurna South, Annapurna I (8091m),
Hiunchuli (6441m) and Tarke Kang (7193m) and other mountains.
Day 06: Ghorepani trek to Poon Hill (3193m) and trek to Tadapani (2540m):
An early morning rise will take you up to Poon Hill after a one
hour trek, This is one of the best Himalayan view points in Nepal. Poon
Hill provides an unobstructed view of sunrise over the high Himalayas .
From Poon Hill one can enjoy spectacular views of Dhaulagiri I (8167m),
Tukuche Peak Nilgiri (6940m), Annapurna South, Annapurna I (8091m),
Hiunchuli (6441m) and Tarke Kang (7193m), Gangapurna (7454m), Lamjung
Himal (6986m), Mt Fishtail ( Macchapuchre 6997m), Tent Peak and many
more High Himalayas. We will walk down to Ghorepani for breakfast and
then trek to Tadapani, A short early morning climb to the Deurali pass
for a spectacular panorama over Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna, The trail
descends steeply through dense moss-covered forest rich with bird life
to Tadapani which provides you a close up sunset view. Overnight at
guest house.
Day 07: Tadapani trekking to Chhomrong (2210m):
The trail drops down from Tadapani, through dense Rhododendron
forest. An overnight stay at Chhomrong (2040m) will afford you the
spectacle of the towering peaks of Annapurna South, Annapurna 4 with
Fishtail (Machhapachhure) facing it across the valley, dwarfing the
villages below.Overnight at guest house.
Day 08: Chhomrong Trekking to Dovan (2540m):
We walk through the forest of Kuldighar . The track winds
steeply up through deep bamboo and rhododendron forest to the village of
Dovan. Overnight at guest house.
Day 09: Dovan trekking to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m):
A trek of the narrow Modi Khola valley will bring you almost to
the base of the M.B.C. Today we climb on past the Machhapuchhare Base
Camp (which isn't really a base camp since climbing the mountain is not
permitted) to the Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) This area is called the
Annapurna Sanctuary since it is totally surrounded by mountains. From
here it is a two-hour trek to Annapurna Base camp, which offers
spectacular views. Here you will spend a day gazing away at the snow
covered peaks above and the beauty of the landscape around, overnight at
Machhapuchhure Base Camp in a guest house.
Day 10: Machhapuchhure Base Camp trekking to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m).
After Breakfast Trekking to Annapurna base camp about 2 hour
working through the magnificent Mountain View. Here you stand in the
sanctuary, the 360 degree views are breathtaking, although clouds roll
in early, and the curtain often lifts at sunrise to reveal radiant,
glowing peaks. Rest and chill out at Annapurna base camp to explore
around ( if incase you will feel altitude sickness or any problem we
will take you down to MBC or Deurali)
Day 11: Annapurna Base Camp Trekking Bamboo (2340m)
Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo ( 2300m) . Today the
trail gradually all the way down to Bamboo through Himalayan Hotel and
Dovan, overnight at guest house
Day 12: Bamboo Trekking to Jhinu Danda (1750m).
Trekking back to Chhomrong via same way, from Chhomrong about an
hour walking will take you to Jhinu Danda where you can enjoy a
relaxing dip at the natural hot spring. Overnight at guest house.
Day 13: Jhinu Hot Spring to Pothana (1990m):
After breakfast next morning, the trail continues on to Landruk,
a beautiful Gurung village which provides you an excellent view of the
surrounding mountain ranges. The trail emerges in the main Modi Khola
valley and reaches Tolkha. After that we will continue on to Pothana,
overnight at guest house. You will have an excellent view of Mt Fish
tail ( Machhapuchhare 6697m) from here.
Day 14: Pothana to Pokhara:
Today we will walk along a paved stone trail through
Rhododendron forests arriving at Dhampus (1750m). This village is
inhabited by a mix of people from different Nepalese cultures, Gurung,
Brahman, and Magar communities. After a rest here we will walk mostly
down hill through fields to the forest and on to Phedi. From Phedi there
will be a 30 minute drive to Pokhara. During the afternoon you can
enjoy boating on Phewa lake and exploring around Pokhara. Overnight at
hotel.
Day 15: Drive or take a flight to Kathmandu.
It is a 25 minute flight to Kathmandu or a 6 to 7 hour drive by
tourist coach. As this is your last evening with us you will enjoy a
typical Nepali dinner and Cultural Show at a Nepalese Restaurant.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 16: Final Departure,
We will take you to the Kathmandu Airport to catch your flight home.
